Homemade doughnuts

Doughnuts are delicious! Have you ever wanted a doughnut but didn't feel like putting on pants to go get one? Well now you can make them at home! It's super easy. All you need is a can of refrigerated biscuits, a pan with tallish sides, vegetable oil, and powdered sugar or cinnamon and sugar or whatever kind of sugary goodness you want to cover your doughnuts with.

Cut out the centers of the biscuits.

Heat about 2" of oil in a pan.

Toss Gently place your doughnuts into the oil.

Once you see the bottom half turn brown on the sides flip them over. This just takes a couple of minutes.

Set on a tall stack of paper towels to dry a little. Then you can coat them in sugar. I just dumped powdered sugar or cinnamon and sugar into gallon size bags and then put the doughnuts in and shook. Kind of like a way more delicious shake and bake.

And there you have it. Eight doughnuts and doughnut holes. So fast, so easy, and no fancy ingredients or equipment needed. Now go make some. Or just look at mine and drool. Or both.

Powdered sugar!

Cinnamon and sugar!

Cinnamon and sugar holes!

Chocolate iced.

To make the chocolate icing, combine cocoa powder, powdered sugar and milk until you get the desired texture and flavor. Then pour it all over (the doughnut of course)!
