Celebrating 31 at the Happiest Place on Earth

Celebrating 31 at the Happiest Place on Earth

This weekend I turned 31 and that required some Disney time. Saturday night Christopher and I went to Magic Kingdom. We rode The Carousel of Progress, got a hot fudge sundae and watched the fireworks, rode the Winnie the Pooh ride, and then the people mover.

I highly recommend the stroller parking area for the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train ride for fireworks, that is where we were when I took these pictures.

After a couple of hours at Magic Kingdom, we went to Disney Springs to get my free birthday cupcake from Sprinkles. I hadn't been to Disney Springs since it was Downtown Disney, but it seemed really nice.

My mom and I had Monday off so we decided to continue the celebration at Animal Kingdom! we went on the safari and saw all of these giraffes! We even saw a baby! The baby giraffe is in the picture below on the far left.

Giraffes are my very favorite animal and I love any chance I get to see them. I like to visit them in real life, watch them on live streams from zoos, and look at pictures of them. They are just so cool.

We also got to see a tiger pacing really close to the viewing area. So beautiful!

These apes were so cute, they were swinging all around and then took turns going across the ropes to a tower on the other side of their area.

I finally ate my cupcake from Sprinkles Monday night, and it was still really good. I got the chocolate marshmallow cupcake and I thought maybe it was like a high hat with marshmallow frosting on top and then dipped in chocolate, but it had marshmallow all the way through.

I like cupcakes with fancy middles.

Disney is so much fun and we are so lucky to have annual passes right now. I love celebrating things, birthdays, Wednesdays, silly holidays, and every anniversary I can make up. I also love fireworks, so celebrating at Disney just makes celebrations that much more exciting for me.

Take time to celebrate all things, big and small. It may seem silly now, but take advantage while you have the chance. You never know when you won't have that thing or person to celebrate.

Happy Anything!
