Hey there!

My Rothy's Collection

My Rothy's Collection

A few years ago I bought myself a pair of navy blue Rothy’s flats (similar) because after what felt like half a lifetime I couldn’t find a pair of simple, leather, navy flats I liked in any store or on any website. I had seen Rothy’s ads on social media and Abra from Capitol Hill Style recommended them, so I did what any responsible woman would do, and added those babies to my cart. I mean it was my birthday month when I ordered them.

After wearing my navy flats nonstop for a few months, I asked the Easter bunny for a pair of points (Flax Birdseye) in my basket.

Two pairs really served me well for the first year, but then it was my birthday again. And grown women need options, am I right ladies? So I asked Christopher to surprise me with a pair for my birthday and I welcomed the purple points (no longer available) into my life, and because I am out of control, I also ordered the chili red points for myself for my birthday.

After adding a couple of bold colors, it was time to try a bold pattern. Hellllooooooo leopard points!

As you can see, I had a pretty good system, two - three pairs of new shoes a year. Reasonable. But then I wanted to try the loafers, I picked Olive Camo Loafers for my first pair, and the Merino collection looked so beautiful, and I really wanted Rosebud Points (Similar) before they were no longer available, so I ordered three pairs of shoes thinking I’d most likely return one or two, and then I loved them all and they all stayed.

Then it happened again. I loved the loafers so much I bought a second pair (Black Honeycomb Loafers). Then I saw the Captoe Black Flats and thought they’d be perfect for the Scottish Highland Games, so they went in my cart, and how could I not just round out my collection with the Marigold Points? In they went. I feel like my collection is complete for now, so unless something new and amazing comes out in 2020, I’m not planning to buy any more.

And that’s the story of how I ended up with 11 pairs of Rothy’s in two years. Sorry bank account, sorry other shoes, yeah just kidding, not sorry. Not even a little.

I haven’t tried The Sneakers or the The Chelseas, but this is how I rank my collection: The Loafers are the most comfortable, in my opinion. The Points are my favorite look and still hella comfy, and The Flats are super cute and super comfy.

I love that they are committed to using sustainable products and practices, are MACHINE WASHABLE, and so comfortable that I honestly forget to take them off.

Washing these babies is so easy. 1. Take all of the insoles out, 2. Wash with COLD water on a delicate setting, 3. Air dry. Boom! Clean! You can also buy replacement insoles, so if your insoles get extra scary and you’re not happy with how they look/feel/smell after wearing these shoes 100% of the time, you can get new ones. OR if you just want to mix and match colors… extra insoles.

I know the price range for these shoes can be daunting ($125-$195 depending on style and materials), but if you break it down to your per wear cost, I think they are a great investment.

Want to try Rothy’s? I have a referral link: $20 off a pair, plus $20 for me to put toward my next pair.

Already have Rothy’s? What are your favorite styles/colors? Let us know in the comments.
