Dollar Tree Valentine's Day Craft

Dollar Tree Valentine's Day Craft

Since moving to the woods, I have gone to Dollar Tree more times than I can count. Sometimes I get seasonal decor or cute things to send my nieces, but this time I got a craft project.

The supplies I got from Dollar Tree:

  • Wooden heart, $1.25

  • Red paint, $3

  • Ribbon, $1.25

  • Sprinkle glitter, $3

Items I already had on hand:

  • Clear coat spray paint

  • Foam paint brush

  • Hot glue gun and glue

After painting the heart red, I used a hot glue gun to glue on the glitter confetti shapes. I sprayed the whole thing with a clear coat to keep the glitter in place, then I removed the twine hanger and replaced it with the pink heart cut out ribbon to be a little bit fancy, and done!

This whole project cost about $9 and I can’t wait to send it to my nieces for Valentine’s Day. It’s definitely a project you could do with any age kids, just swap out hot glue for Elmer’s and you’re good to go.

Do you ever pop into the dollar store for a quick craft project? If so, what’s your favorite craft supply at the dollar store? Let us know in the comments.
