2nd Annual Sanford Paddy's Day Truck Pull and Street Festival

Over the weekend I had a fun lady date with Jen. We went to the 2nd Annual Sanford Paddy’s Day Truck Pull and Street Festival. Teams pulled a fire truck by a rope for one block, it was fascinating. There were tons of food trucks, vendors of all kinds selling fun stuff, and of course beer tents.

On our way to the truck pull, we walked by Rosie Lee Co. and it was SO adorable we had to go inside. I tried the English Rose Fog, rose petal tea steeped in milk with rose simple syrup, it was amazing. I asked for it barely sweet and the hint of sweet with the taste of rose was so nice. Rosie Lee Co. would be a great place to catch up with a friend, read a book, buy some loose teas and/or gifts, or just hang out with a great cup of tea. I can’t wait to go back.

After watching the fire truck pulling we popped in to Celery City Craft for a beer, because we aren’t animals, we know how to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.

It was nice out, so we sat outside at one of the many picnic tables and caught up on life. Celery City Craft has an impressive beer selection. I had a Driver 8 by Daytona Beach Brewing Company and Jen had a Coco Puff Daddy by Wop’s Hops Brewing Company.

We decided we wanted to eat dinner at Hollerbach’s Willow Tree Cafe, but there was a wait and we were really hungry. We figured we might as well walk across the street to Wondermade and have a s’more appetizer. This bad boy had 1 regular graham cracker, 1 chocolate graham cracker, 2 bourbon marshmallows, 1 chocolate marshmallow and 1 honey marshmallow, milk chocolate, and finally a double drizzle of chocolate sauce.

We finally made it to dinner! We started with a soft pretzel, because friends who pretzel together stay friends forever? Just go with it. Then we ate food and took 0 pictures because we were having too much fun people watching, listening to accordion music, and spending time together.

Have you been to downtown Sanford? They have so many amazing restaurants, bars, breweries, and shops. They put on some really great events and generally are just cute as hell. It’s a great place for a date night, girls night, birthday celebration, Tuesday, etc.
