31 Things I am Grateful for August 2022
We began phase two (moving) of our life explosion this month. Everything feels like a blur and a slow drag. I really am grateful for this opportunity to explode our life and try something new. I know this isn’t something a lot of people get to do, and I know what a privilege it is to be doing this.
This month I am grateful for:
- Being able to leave a job that no longer aligned with my values
- Exploring new places
- Twice a week farmer’s markets
- Visiting an incredible greenhouse
- New plants from the community college plant sale
- Playing in my dad’s garden
- Writing in cute local coffee shops
- Beautiful views everywhere you look
- Finding cool mushrooms in my parent’s yard
- Cool nights in August (what kind of witchcraft is this?)
- Visiting my aunt in Asheville
- DQ Blizzards
- Finding a really cute store with plants, plant pots, and cute home decor
- Brooklyn Nine Nine
- Craft supplies from Dollar Tree
- The Bridgerton soundtracks
- Coffee and exploring with my brother
- Mail in voting
- Tomato soup made with tomatoes my dad grew in his garden
- Finding a vintage word game at the town yard sale
- How cute Lucy is with a big bone
- Pedicures
- The beginning of fall leaves (YAAAAYYYY!!!!)
- Fazoli’s bread sticks
- Changing my prescriptions to a pharmacy with a drive thru
- Being able to tag along on a work trip with Christopher
- Timbits from Tim Hortons
- Seeing two Great Lakes
- An afternoon in Canada
- Drinking coffee at a coffee shop while it rains
- Sleeping in
This month has had a lot of ups and downs. House hunting has consumed August and I am exhausted. I’m glad we were able to end the month with a trip to Michigan by adding a few fun days to the end of Christopher’s work trip.
