Easy Thanksgiving Side Dish: Creamed Corn

Easy Thanksgiving Side Dish: Creamed Corn

Creamed corn is so comforting and surpringly easy to make. I’ve used this Easy Homemade Creamed Corn recipe from Little Sunny Kitchen a couple of times now, and it’s great.

The ingredients are simple, and easily available, which I appreciate now that we live in the woods. You’ll need corn (fresh, frozen, or rinsed canned), onion, thyme (I’ve made it with fresh, dried, and without it - you do you), butter, flour, milk, heavy cream, salt, and pepper.

All you do is cook the onion, add the corn until it’s warmed up, add in flour and cook for 1-2 minutes to thicken the sauce, add everything else, bring to a simmer for a few minutes, and then blend it up a little, a lot, or not at all depending on your texture preference. It’s so fast, easy, and most importantly delicious. I highly recommend giving this recipe a try!
