The Great Escape: 18 Month Update

It has been 18 months since we packed up our lives and left Orlando. It feels like it has been so much longer than that and also not that long. What is time?

Since our life explosion, we have gone on 29 trips and visited 10 new states together, but we are beyond ready to have our stuff out of storage and get back to a routine. We can’t wait to sleep in our bed, watch TV on our couch, and drink coffee out of our beautiful collection of mugs

We want to find our next set of favorite places. Make some new friends. Learn a new city.

So even though the summer is perfect, and the snow is magical here in Virginia, we have decided to leave the woods and move to the Raleigh NC area. We’ve only visited a few times, but it feels like a nice combination of things we like. Raleigh has a decent airport, it’s closer to the ocean, it has seasons, an excellent selection of grocery stores, and a decent food scene from what we can tell.

We don’t know if Raleigh will be a forever place for us or just our next stop, but we won’t know until we try.
