Maintaining Our Platinum Elite Status

We are so close to earning Lifetime Platinum Elite Status at Marriott Bonvoy that we can almost taste it. We’ve completed 8 years at Platinum Elite or higher, and as long as all of our trips we have planned for the rest of the year happen, we will complete year 9 of 10 required, and be just one year or traveling around away from a lifetime of bonus points and club lounges.

This used to be a lot easier when Christopher was traveling for work. But his work travel has slowed way down, so we’ve been having to sneak in little weekends away and work from hotels when we can to earn all 50 hotel nights this year. We have a few trips coming up that are very exciting.

This month, we are going to Dallas to visit the State Fair of Texas and the George W. Bush Presidential Library.

Then in November we are going to Little Rock, AR, to visit the Bill Clinton Presidential Library, and to Montreal and Quebec City for Thanksgiving to see the Christmas Markets.

Over Winter Break, we plan to go somewhere to get the last of our nights for the year, but we’re not sure where just yet. Possibly Atlanta to visit the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library, or Charleston, because it’s cute.
