Winter Bucket List 2024 - 2025 Recap
We had a pretty fun winter! As usual, I made a seasonal bucket list, and this is how it went.
It was our first winter back in Florida, so we had to kick things off with Christmas in the Park in Winter Park.
We were also SO excited to use our decorations again! We missed our decorations so much! One new decoration this year was an artificial Christmas tree. The last Christmas we spent in Florida, I realized I am pretty severely allergic to real Christmas trees. After decades of getting sick every single Christmas season, you’d think I would have put two and two together sooner. Oops. Costco came through with a beaut Clark, and I suppose I’ll make do without a real tree.
My dad flew down to visit in January and went with us to the Central Florida Scottish Highland Games. The weather was delightful, we saw friends and hung out with some extended family. It was a great day.
Our house has a real bathtub! So, I will be taking salty baths, and bubbly baths, and fancy baths as often as my pruney skin can handle it. Watch out LUSH, here I come.
So far, since we unpacked our stuff, I have made two loaves of bread, but I have saved about 15 bread machine recipes in the last couple of weeks. I think I’m going to make pretzel bites next.
Some days just call for fancy chocolate. We got this box of treats from AJ Chocolate House.
We celebrated some extra fun holidays this season: Hagrid’s birthday, National Chocolate Cake Day, and our 17th engagement anniversary.
We didn’t end up seeing snow this winter, and while we saw Christmas lights while driving places, we didn’t make time to get hot chocolate and go see our favorite over-the-top houses.
How was your winter? Let us know in the comments.
