Middle Tennessee Highland Games
A couple of weeks ago, we visited my parents in VA and drove over to Nashville to go to the Middle Tennessee Highland Games. It was the first time Christopher and I had been to a games outside of the one in Orlando, and this one was much smaller.
I took a picture at the Clan Thompson tent, before having a little homemade shortbread.
We got all dressed up in our tartan.
There were cabers to be tossed, and pipe and drum bands played.
We listened to some music without bagpipes.
Christopher and I shared a sticky toffee pudding, yum!
But no highland cows, no unicorn, and no sheep herding. Overall, it was a nice experience and far less overwhelming than Orlando. I like that their clan tents were all in a big line, so you could easily find your people, instead of in a random zig-zag clump that we’re used to.
