EPCOT Food and Wine Festival 2025 Visit #1
Over the weekend, we made our first visit to EPCOT’s Food and Wine Festival. It’s still pretty damn hot here, so we didn’t head to the park until dinner time and only lasted a few food booths before hitting up Ratatouille and calling it a night.
We started in Spain.
We tried the Trio de Pintxos (Tortilla Espanola, Pan con Tomate, and Jamon Croqueta), the Paella Caldoso (shrimp, scallops, mussels), and the Basque Cheesecake with Orange Sauce. I really liked the appetizer trio and was devastated when I set it on the little fence, and the wind blew the second half of it into the train set in Germany. I thought the cheesecake was good, but not super special, and Christopher liked the paella.
Next, we went to Belgium, and I forgot to take pictures, so here are the pics of the same exact things from a few years ago.
We had the Beer Braised Beef with Smoked Gouda Mashed Potatoes and a Belgian Waffle with Berry Compote and Whipped Cream. Again, these pics are old, but this year the beef was a tiny portion, literally two pieces of meat, a third chunk would have been nice, but the waffle looked better this year, and the berries were very. refreshing.
Last, we hit up France, my personal favorite booth of the night.
Here we had the Spiced Brioche with a Three Cheese Mornay Filling, YUM! The Red-Wine Braised Short Ribs with Potato Puree, Double YUM! And for dessert, the Vanilla Creme Brulee with Blueberry-Lime Compote, triple YUM! I also had the Chilled French Cosmo, delightful. France just never misses. Every festival, you can count on France to be delicious.
After these booths, we were sweaty and needed a little air conditioning break, so we spent a little time with Remy on the Ratatouille ride. It was just as cute as we remembered it from Disneyland Paris.
We walked toward the front of the park to watch the fireworks, and of course, ate some caramel corn from Germany, a family tradition.
Have you been to the Food and Wine Festival yet this year? What was your favorite snack or drink? Let us know in the comments.
