Every Monday and Thursday Dax and Monica bring 2ish hours of deep, real, heartwarming, hilarious, interviews to the world. This has to be the best podcast available right now.

#2

Up first is brought to you each weekday morning by the crew of NPR’s Morning Edition. It’s the perfect 15-20 minutes of major current evens to keep you in the know, but overwhelmed.

#3

Having spent a small portion of my childhood in the rural south, it’s mind boggling to know that something like this could have been happening right down the road. S-Town will have you captivated from the very beginning. Seven, hour long episodes, bring you behind the drama of a small Alabama town.

#4

Each Monday, host Shankar uses science and stories to explain the patterns in human behavior, and how those shape our choices and relationships.

#5

Over three amazing seasons, Serial has given us a look at the murder trial of Adnan Syed, the runaway and capture of Bowe Bergdahl, and the daily goings on in a Cleveland, OH courthouse.

I haven’t ever really paid much attention to Richard Simmons, but this podcast was endlessly fascinating. I understand Richard Simmons’ desire for privacy, but this story of concern and sadness from the people that felt closest to him makes you ask a lot of questions. Be well Richard.

I have read all of the Freakonomics books, so when this podcast came out I was thrilled. This is probably the first podcast I ever listened to regularly, and I look forward to it every Wednesday.

I’ve been a Conan fan since I discovered him on Late Night in the early 2000s. After recovering from what could have been the end of the world (Y2K) Conan helped me rebuild, bahahahaha, j/k. Conan has been making the world laugh for a long time, and I’m definitely up for every minute I can consume.

I listen to podcasts in the car, while I do housework, and in the shower. They are quickly becoming one of my favorite things to listen to. I like learning interesting things and listening to interviews. It’s like story time for adults.

I am always in the market for new podcasts to try. Leave your favorites in the comments below.
