Trader Joe's Fall Haul 2020

Trader Joe's Fall Haul 2020

I love Trader Joe’s. They have so many unique products, the best flowers of any grocery store, and it’s just so cheerful inside. So now that I am working from home and we’re in the midst of a global pandemic, I don’t get to pop in once or twice a week just for fun.

Now when I go to Trader Joe’s I have to savor every minute of it. I buy an armful of flowers, one of every seasonal item I want to try, even if that means freezing half of them for later, two of all my favorite staples, a bunch of cards, and because of the uncertainty of the world, usually a large quantity of booze and/or cheese

Anyway, enough story time, let’s get to the goods! Here are some of the Fall seasonal items, new or new to me items, and if I’ve tried them already some thoughts. Enjoy.

Traders Joe’s Puff Pastry is legit. If you use puff pastry, go get some while they have it.

Brazilian Style Cheese Bread is new and we haven’t tried it yet, but I’ve heard good things.

Rustic Apple Tart and Pumpkin Waffles are fall staples in our house, we LOVE them.

Fall Leaf chips are really fun for parties (do you remember those?) or just to jazz up your chips and salsa game.

The Maple & Sea Salt Kettle Corn is a really nice fall version of this classic snack and I like it a lot.

Apple Fruit Snacks are kind of like chunks of fruit leather and less like a traditional fruit snack, I didn’t think I liked them until I couldn’t stop eating them, so they are weird, but grow on you quickly.

Garlic Naan Crackers are tasty on their own or dipped in stuff, highly recommend.

The Pumpkin Spice Batons are good, but the original chocolate ones are better.

We haven’t tried the Dark Chocolate Cookie Sticks yet, but they look good.

I’ve already repurchased the Unexpected Broccoli Cheddar Soup because it is such a tasty, easy, workday lunch.

Jalapeno Corn & Rice Puffs are for Christopher and he hasn’t tried them yet. That snack is too scary for me.

Pumpkin Pecan Oatmeal is good. It’s a little sweeter than I usually eat my oatmeal, but it’s a nice fall treat when I want something warm in the morning.

All of the fall spreads are delicious, Pumpkin Butter and Apple Cider Jam so good on pretty much any bread product.

I made French toast with the Pumpkin Brioche Twist and it was fantastic. I tried to buy another loaf last time I went to Trader Joe’s but they were out. Fingers crossed for next time.

I love Apple Cider and this is a good one! I made a fall themed drink with apple cider and bourbon for a virtual happy hour, it was delicious.

Ginger Beer is not my jam, but Christopher likes this one.

I haven’t use the Vanilla Bean Paste, but I am excited to use it for my holiday baking

Danish Kringle is one of my favorite bakery items from Trader Joe’s and Pumpkin is definitely in my top 3 flavors.

Trail Mix Crackers were a check out grab, and when I got home and read what was actually in them I was worried they would be weird, but they were surprisingly good. If you need a little variety in your snack rotation, this is good one to add.

Pumpkin Flavored Joe-Joe’s, you disappoint me. Christopher and my brother Josh like these, but I am not a fan. Neapolitan Joe-Joe’s are the best ones, hands down.

We liked the Spaghetti Cacio E Pepe, so the ravioli had to come home for a taste test. We are planning to have this later this week.

I thought I was buying the Autumnal Harvest Soup when I grabbed this jar, but turns out I got the Pasta Sauce. I haven’t decided if I’ll pair this with the ravioli or with the fall pumpkin shaped pasta I have.

I’m pretty sure we tried the One Potato Two Potato last year and liked it, so I got another one. I’m going to serve this as a side dish with ham, cinnamon apples, and something green.

Pie is one of my love languages, so obviously I needed this Apple Caramel Slab Pie. It’s good enough, but it’s a grocery store pie. The best grocery store apple pie is from Costco, so if you want a store bought apple pie, head to your nearest warehouse.

When I saw this Haunted House kit, I knew it was perfect for a playdate with my nieces. I think we did a great job decorating our haunted house.

I can’t handle a full size cinnamon broom, but I love these little whisks. I got one for me and one to share.

These items aren’t seasonal, but they are some of my favorite staples, so I thought I’d share them.

It is soup season y’all, and nothing makes soup easier than buying the Mirepoix mix at Trader Joe’s. I used these two containers and two of the zucchini to make Minestrone soup over the weekend and only having to chop one veggie instead of four is a huge time saver.

Peanut butter is basically a food group in our house, and this Trader Joe’s version of Ritz bits are even better than the Ritz version, and the PB&J Snack Duo is so good I already have it on my list for next time and I haven’t even finished the first box yet.

Christopher and I love mandarins and Trader Joe’s always has a nice selection and a reasonably sized bag.

TJ’s also have a good price on pasture raised eggs, so if that’s something on your shopping list, check these out.

Well that’s what I bought on my last two trips. Do you have any Fall favorites? Or TJ’s staples you can’t leave the store without? Let us know in the comments!
