Our Home Renovation: Demo Day
I don’t know about you, but I find demolition to be greatly satisfying. I could watch people rip shit to shreds for hours, bonus points if I get to participate in the destruction. This time I didn’t get to participate in the demolition, but we did watch the crew throw things out into the yard on our Ring doorbell, yano like the creepers we apparently are.
They were able to remove all the flooring, the kitchen cabinets and counters, appliances, and the soffit all in one day. It was awesome to see so much done in one day.
It also revealed a sweet floral wallpaper that I actually kind of like. I mean I’m glad it wasn’t still covering the entire kitchen, but it is cute.
The crew also found these old beer cans from the 80s in the walls/soffit. It was cool to see this mini time capsule.
They also removed all the tile from the bathroom floor and shower, and the vanity countertop and sink.
Demo day was very exciting, probably one of top 3 days of the whole project.
