Take a Look Inside Our New Fridge

Take a Look Inside Our New Fridge

We are remodeling our kitchen in a couple of months, so I took advantage of 4th of July appliance sales and ordered a couple of appliances. The only new appliance we are going to use before the remodel is the fridge, we ordered the Bosch 800 Counter Depth Refrigerator, and so far the first week is going really well. It’s so pretty and bright inside and I love that it’s counter depth.

I like the simplicity of not having the ice and water in the door, it’s a cleaner look and will also be a lot easier to clean. It has a filtered water spout on the inside of the fridge, so I’m not missing out on any good fridge water.

I forgot to take an old fridge picture before we started moving things around, but here is the old fridge. IT still works perfectly fine, so we moved it to the garage to replace our freezer that was no longer freezing so well.

Here is the disaster of a fridge situation before the swap. You can see how packed full the freezer side is. Because of our broken freezer, we had to stuff as much of that freezer stuff as possible into the little freezer as possible. It was a challenge.

Ahhh much better, it’s so pretty in here. I might move things around as we use them, but I just love how bright it is. I got a lazy susan for the condiments that were too tall for the door and a clear egg holder so it’s easy to see how many eggs we have, and because I just think it’s pretty.

Now to the freezer.

I am still trying to decide what I want to keep in this freezer and what to keep in the garage freezer. but I like the drawers so far. There are three layers of drawers, and you open the freezer to the middle layer that has ice and and carbs. The two most important things in any freezer.

Now that we have a fridge/freezer combo in the garage, we moved our drinks out there and some of our backups and less frequently used things from the main fridge. Plus still using the freezer for our frozen meat and extra frozen foods.

It’s only been a week, but I really like our new fridge and the old fridge in the garage. It’s a baby step toward our remodeling goal.

P.S. After I finished this post we realized that the outlet that we plugged the garage fridge into tripped and we ended up having to throw away almost everything in our freezer. I was able to use some defrosted bananas to make a banana bundt cake, so at least we got a cake out of this mess.
